Welcome to Nygatan 6!
Nygatan 6 is Musik i Syd’s new home in Växjö. In one of the city’s oldest buildings, Musik i Syd’s operations in Kronoberg are now all housed under the same roof. At Nygatan 6 there is a new concert hall with almost 300 seats, which is of course also available to the municipality’s numerous providers of culture and music.
The building and the venue are also home to the chamber orchestra Musica Vitae, and the premises also house the Småland Music Archive, where visits can be booked to view the archive’s collections. More information about these organisations is available at:

Alongside the concert hall, there is also a conference room that can be booked for small meetings and gatherings. The building’s history is visible here, in the form of the beautiful arched wooden roof. There are also areas for serving food and drink during intervals, and holding music cafés next to the two main rooms.
In addition to events at Nygatan 6, Musik i Syd also organises regular concerts at Växjö Konserthus.
